SSI/Medicare Beneficiary Data for FY2013 for IPPS, IRFs, & LTCH

From: MLN Matters – MM9195 – 6/5/15

What you Need to Know:

Change Request (CR) 9195 informs MACs about updated data for determining the disproportionate share adjustment for IPPS hospitals and the low income patient (LIP) adjustment for IRFs as well as payments applicable to certain LTCH discharges (for example, discharges paid the IPPS comparable amount under the short-stay outlier payment adjustment). The SSI/Medicare beneficiary data for hospitals are available electronically and contains the name of the hospital, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) certification number, SSI days, total Medicare days, and the ratio of Medicare Part A patient days attributable to SSI recipients.

Final Rule Corrections – Hospital Inpatient PPS – FY2013 & 2014

Final Rule Corrections – Hospital Inpatient PPS – FY2013 & 2014

From: Federal Registers – CMS-1588-CN5;  CMS – 1599  & 1455-CN5; 3/18/14

CMS issued corrections to the FFY 2013 and FFY 2014 Hospital Inpatient Prospective Payment Systems final rules.  The corrections for both years involved the table entitled “Finalized Performance Standards for Certain FY 2016 Hospital VBP Program Outcome Domain Measures.” There was an error made in one of the standards that is not consistent with the actual FY 2016 performance standards.

I found no updated table or change made that would impact reimbursement for these corrections.  Listed below are links to the two federal register issuances:
