Thomas P. Knight, MBA is President of Toyon Associates, Inc. which he purchased in 1992. Mr. Knight provides leadership for the firm’s growth in offering additional client services and serving clients nationwide. He works directly with clients and directs a wide variety of client projects. Mr. Knight represents clients within many health care service provider settings. Previously, Mr. Knight was founder and president of his own consulting firm and has served as principal and partner for the health care practice of a large national accounting firm and as partner and co-founder of a health care reimbursement consulting firm. He began his career as a provider reimbursement and audit manager for a Medicare fiscal intermediary.


Tim Yuen, MBA is Executive Vice President for Toyon Associates, Inc. In addition to his role as executive vice president, he is responsible for a wide variety of client projects in health care accounting, finance and reimbursement. These projects include Medicare/Medicaid disproportionate share entitlement reviews, Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement appeals, Medicare TEFRA/SNF rate exception requests, Medicare/Medicaid cost report preparation, Medicaid MIRL/MARL liabilities resolution, and contractual allowance reviews. Previously, Mr. Yuen was a senior manager for the health care practice of a national accounting firm. He has also held positions as hospital controller and as an auditor for a Medicare fiscal intermediary.


Ronald G. Knapp is Executive Vice President for Toyon Associates, Inc. In addition to his role as executive vice president, he is responsible for a wide variety of client projects in health care finance and reimbursement. These projects include Medicare reimbursement planning and strategy development, Medicare/Medicaid cost report preparation, Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement appeals, contractual allowance review, Medicare bad debt reviews, financial modeling and forecasting, and financial feasibility studies for proposed new services. He works with hospital, home health agency, skilled nursing facility, and integrated delivery system clients. Previously, Mr. Knapp held director of reimbursement positions for community and public health hospitals.
